Exactly which cookies this website sets, what each one is for, how long it lasts, and how to control them.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. It allows the site to remember things between pages and visits — that you are signed in, for example, or which plan you selected. Similar technologies such as local storage work in a comparable way and are covered by this policy.
We keep cookies to a minimum. This website runs on a small number of strictly necessary cookies and does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, retargeting pixels or social media trackers of any kind. We do not sell or share cookie data with advertising networks.
These are required for the website to function. Under PECR they do not require your consent, because you could not use the service without them. They cannot be disabled through a consent banner, though your browser can block them — at the cost of the site no longer working correctly.

If we use analytics, it is only to understand which pages are read and where visitors leave, so that we can improve the site. These cookies are set only after you consent, and never before. Declining them has no effect on your ability to use the site or your courses.

If and when an analytics provider is enabled, this table is updated with the provider's name and the exact cookie names before the cookie is served. We do not run undisclosed analytics.
When you reach the payment page, our payment provider may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and to maintain your checkout session. When you watch a lesson, the video delivery provider may set cookies necessary for playback. These are set by those providers under their own privacy policies, and are limited to what is required to deliver the payment or the video.
Where non-essential cookies are in use, a banner appears on your first visit letting you accept or decline them. Your choice is stored in brv_consent. To change it later, clear that cookie in your browser and reload the page — the banner will reappear.
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking all cookies will prevent you from signing in to the student area, since the session cookie is what keeps you authenticated. Instructions are available in the help pages of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Browsers may send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites must respond, and we do not perform cross-site tracking in any case, so the signal makes no practical difference to what we do.
Some cookie data can constitute personal data under the UK GDPR. Where it does, it is processed as described in our Privacy Policy, including the legal basis, retention period and your rights. Strictly necessary cookies are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a functioning, secure website; non-essential cookies are processed on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
If we add or remove a cookie, this page is updated before the change takes effect, and the "last updated" date above changes accordingly. If we introduce a new category of non-essential cookie, you will be asked for consent again rather than having your previous choice carried over.
